On Thursday, June 26, Jaylani Hussein, executive director of the Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Minnesota) will join a live Instagram event, “Trump’s travel ban: What it means for Minnesotans,” discussing the impact of President Trump’s new travel ban barring nationals of 12 countries from entering the U.S. and partially restricting those from another seven.
According to the event organizer, Sahan Journal: “More than 100,000 immigrants from the list of travel-ban–affected countries currently live in Minnesota.” Panelists will discuss the new ban and what it means for prospective visitors and their families in the U.S.
Panelists include:
- Matthew Webster, a senior immigration attorney at Fredrikson & Byron P.A. and a board member of the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota
- Jaylani Hussein, the executive director of CAIR-MN
