About CAIR-Minnesota
The Council on American-Islamic Relations, Minnesota chapter (CAIR-MN), is a nonprofit legal and civil rights organization that works to protect and empower Minnesota’s Muslim communities. Since 2007, we’ve provided free legal services to individuals facing discrimination based on religion, race, or immigration status. Our civil rights work covers a wide range of cases, including employment discrimination, school bullying, hate crimes, police misconduct, racial and religious profiling, immigration delays, and denial of public accommodations. We also support community members impacted by government surveillance and unjust treatment at airports and borders. Beyond legal support, we educate the public through “Know Your Rights” trainings, bystander intervention workshops, and equity-focused presentations for schools, hospitals, and public agencies. At the heart of our work is a commitment to justice, dignity, and building a Minnesota where all people are treated fairly and without fear.
